Step 1: Choose your preferred verification method & residency status in Singapore

Opening a StraitsX Singapore Personal Account in Singapore is simple and fast with the right documents. This process is made even faster if you have registered your Singapore Government-issued Identification Document (ID) with Singpass.

Step 2: Retrieve your details with Singpass

For ease of use, we recommend using Singpass to retrieve and input your personal details. This process takes seconds.

Step 3: Double-check your personal details

For all users signing up for a StraitsX Singapore Personal Account, we implore you to double-check your details before submission. This ensures a smooth verification process.

Step 4: Provide your expected transaction details

StraitsX monitors all transactions on our platform to ensure the safety of our users’ funds. We work very closely with law enforcement agencies to comply with regulations, and to support them in investigating suspected cases of money laundering or terrorist financing.

(Foreigners only) Step 4a: Upload your proof of residency in Singapore

Foreigners residing in Singapore need to submit their proof of residency in Singapore. This can include any of the following documents:

• Singapore-based bank statement
• Utility bills
• Government-issued letter
• Telco bill issued within the last 3 months

Additionally, if you do not have Singpass set up, you will need to upload your Singapore Government-issued ID.

Step 5: Take a selfie with the instructions provided

Our verification process includes taking a selfie with your identification document. Please ensure that you:

• Use the same ID that you used for the verification form
• Hold your NRIC/ID with a piece of paper that says “For StraitsX Verification" with your handwriting
• Write down the submission date of when you submit your selfie and verification form
• Take a selfie with your face clearly shown and not covered by the paper or ID
• Capture the ID clearly enough for us to be able to read the information shown

Step 6: Upload your selfie

When you are done taking a selfie with the above requirements, upload it. We will process your StraitsX Singapore Personal Account verification. This will take around two to three business days.

Do note that if you have chosen to input your details manually, it will take longer.
