We are proud to announce that StraitsX has officially attained the Data Protection Trustmark (DPTM), Singapore Standard SS 714:2025, a voluntary, enterprise-wide certification recognising organisations that demonstrate accountable and robust data protection practices.
StraitsX is the first stablecoin issuer and licensed Payment Service Provider (PSP) in Singapore to have been granted this certification. The certification covers our holding company and four licensed entities, reflecting a consistent and group-wide commitment to maintaining high standards of data governance.
In digital finance, we believe that trust is foundational. The DPTM provides our institutional clients and partners with independently validated assurance that our data protection framework meets nationally recognised benchmarks set by the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC).
“At StraitsX, regulatory excellence extends beyond licensing, it includes how we safeguard data,” said Samson Leo, Chief Legal Officer at StraitsX. “Attaining the SS 714:2025 Data Protection Trustmark formalises our commitment to protecting sensitive information and strengthening accountability across our organisation. Aligning with national standards reinforces our continued evolution of our digital payment services across cards, fiat and stablecoins.”
What the SS 714:2025 Standard Represents
The DPTM is incorporated into Singapore’s national standards framework under SS 714:2025. Certification signals that an organisation’s data governance policies and operational controls have undergone independent assessment and meet established national criteria.
For our partners, this means:
- Independent Assessment
Certification is conducted by accredited bodies overseen by the Singapore Accreditation Council.
- Ongoing Surveillance
Annual surveillance audits ensure continued adherence to the standard.
- Demonstrated Accountability
Internal processes are evaluated against structured, nationally benchmarked data governance requirements.
This certification complements our broader cybersecurity and risk management initiatives. As digital asset infrastructure evolves, we continue to enhance our systems, controls, and governance frameworks to ensure institutional-grade protection of capital and data.
